Qualifications:A recognised National Diploma in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years experience on a construction site; andRegistration or eligibility for registration with SACNASP or EAPASA is advantageousExperience:Proven knowledge of the National Environmental Management Act, National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act and other construction related environmental regulationsProven knowledge and implementation of environmental management plans (EMP/ EMPr) during constructionProven knowledge of environmental aspect Hazard Identification and Risk Management ProcessesSound knowledge of environmental incident investigation processes and their causation phenomenaEnvironmental Auditing and inspection trainingExperience in building strong people relationships, general management practices and experience in managing and leading contractor environmental teamsAbility and willingness to travel between various Northern Cape locations and be prepared to reside on site in a permanent basis.Knowledge:Excellent interpersonal and influencing skillsA flexible team player who is adaptable to changeFluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skillsFamiliarity with the formalism for, and requirements of, quality control environments such as ISO9001, 14001 and 45001Knowledge of the South African construction industry legislation and regulations.Environment, (Health and Safety), ConstructionProven track record in working with contractors on construction sitesEnvironmental Risk ManagementQuality management.Knowledge and experience of environmental auditing as per ISO 14001 standardsPlease note that if you have not received a response within 14 days of submitting your application that your application was unsuccessful.
