Qualified Diesel Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on large commercial diesel vehicles
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
• Overhaul engines, transmissions, and other major components as required
• Ensure timely completion of service schedules and repair jobs
• Adhere to workshop procedures, safety standards, and quality control protocols
• Maintain accurate service records and reports
• Assist in training junior technicians and apprentices where required
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex vehicle systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals

Requirements:

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic / Trade Test Certification
• Proven experience with large commercial vehicles (trucks, buses, or similar)
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Team-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated
• Valid drivers license
