SENIOR DESIGN ARCHITECT

SENIOR DESIGN ARCHITECT - REMOTE

Key Responsibilities

• Design Development: Create, refine, and present architectural concepts, including 3D rendering and sketch illustrations using Revit.
• Documentation: Produce and coordinate detailed design drawings, specifications, and site development plans (SDP) for municipal approval.
• Consultation & Collaboration: Meet with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent aligns with project briefs, budgets, and quality standards.
• Technical Compliance: Ensure designs meet South African building regulations, site constraints, and sustainability standards.
• Site Support: Conduct site inspections and coordinate with site teams to resolve design problems during construction.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Master’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent).
• Registration: Mandatory professional registration with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in architectural design, particularly with hospitality, villas, retail, complex commercial or residential projects.
• Attributes: Strong creative, aesthetic, and technical problem-solving skills, with excellent communication abilities.

Commonly Sought Expertise

• Experience in hospitality retail or large-scale mixed-use developments
• Knowledge of local South African construction methods and materials.
• Ability to work in high-paced, team-oriented, or remote environments.
