C&I Sales Manager

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced C&I Sales Manager to drive business development and sales growth in the Commercial & Industrial energy sector in South Africa. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in C&I solar / energy sales and a strong network within EPCs, installers, developers, and key commercial clients. Candidates with purely residential sales backgrounds will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute sales strategies for C&I market expansion
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with EPCs, project developers, distributors, and end-users
• Build and maintain strong client relationships in the C&I sector
• Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and manage commercial negotiations
• Work closely with technical and aftersales teams to ensure suitable solutions for clients
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and project opportunities
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
• Support channel development and key account management
• Provide sales forecasts and pipeline updates to management
Minimum Requirements
• Diploma in Engineering, Electrical, Renewable Energy, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of sales experience in the solar / energy industry
• Must have strong C&I sales experience
• Strong understanding of solar PV, inverters, batteries, and energy solutions for commercial / industrial applications
• Existing network with EPCs, installers, project developers, and commercial customers
• Strong negotiation and business development skills
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel (own transport)
Non-Negotiable
• Candidates with only Residential market experience will not be considered
Preferred
• Experience working for inverter, solar, battery, or electrical product
manufacturers / distributors
• Technical-commercial understanding of C&I energy projects
