Matric with valid drivers license. Must have been re-evaluated and have done the STARS ID which will be required to check against Ford SA systems on current status.
MAIN DUTIES: Ford Master Technician is a highly trained specialist who diagnoses, repairs, and maintains Ford vehicles using advanced, brand-specific tools and software. They handle complex mechanical/electrical issues, mentor junior staff, ensure warranty compliance, and often require 6+ years of experience. Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical problems, often going beyond code reading to find root causes. Complex Repairs: Performing major repairs such as engine overhauls, transmission services, and intricate electrical system
fixes. Ford-Specific Expertise: Utilizing Professional Technician System (PTS) and other Ford-specific diagnostic equipment to repair vehicles to factory standards. Mentorship: Guiding and training junior technicians in the workshop. Quality Control: Inspecting work performed by other technicians to ensure safety and compliance.
Documentation: Completing accurate, detailed repair orders and warranty
documentation.
Experience: Generally 6+ years of specialized experience.
Certification: Proven Ford Master Technician qualification and completion of
STARS Training Reports.
Skills: Strong diagnostic, communication, and time-management skills
