If you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, collaborating with skilled professionals, and influencing the future performance of engineered systems, this role offers the platform to grow your expertise and make a measurable impact.Key Responsibilities:Create detailed design concepts, specifications, and engineering drawingsDevelop 3D models and technical documentation using industryâ??standard CAD softwareAnalyse and test prototypes to verify performance and complianceImprove and optimise existing product designsCollaborate with Production, Sales, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with clients needsConduct research and feasibility studies on new technologies, processes, or product improvementsDevelop proofâ??ofâ??concept prototypes and perform detailed testing and reportingParticipate in crossâ??functional project teams, supporting design execution and project deliveryProduce technical reports, documentation, and progress updatesLead and support qualityâ??related activities within the design functionEnsure that all design work adheres to the organisations SHERQ requirements (TÜV SÜD and ISO 9001)Maintain organised design records, engineering documentation, and revision controlSupport supplier and subâ??supplier quality interventions when requiredEnsure that all work is completed using the latest approved company documentationPerform additional engineering tasks as instructed by management, within the scope of expertiseMinimum Requirements:BEng Mechanical or BSc Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of 3 years relevant engineering experienceExperience within an OEM, engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing environment is advantageousProficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or InventorStrong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical design principlesKnowledge of industry standards, engineering regulations, and safety requirementsProficient in Microsoft Office 365Strong analytical and problemâ??solving capabilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong timeâ??management and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and within a teamLeadership, negotiation, and stakeholderâ??management skillsCompetencies:Technical design expertiseStrong analytical and research abilityDocumentation and reporting accuracyEffective collaboration and communicationAbility to work to deadlines and handle multiple projectsContinuous improvement mindset
