Responsibilities:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the toolroom workshopManage and lead a team of toolmakers, machinists, and techniciansEnsure timely manufacturing, maintenance, and repair of tools, dies, jigs, and fixturesImplement and maintain preventative maintenance systems for toolingDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce downtimeMonitor production schedules and align toolroom output with operational demandsEnsure adherence to quality standards, health & safety regulations, and company policiesManage budgets, costs, and resource allocation within the toolroomLiaise with engineering, production, and quality departments to support business objectivesRequirements:Trade Test qualification (Toolmaker or relevant discipline)Proven experience in a toolroom environment within manufacturingMinimum 58 years experience in a supervisory or management roleStrong technical knowledge of machining processes, tooling design, and maintenanceAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsExperience with CNC machines and toolroom equipmentAdvantageous:Experience in high-volume or precision manufacturing environmentsExposure to CAD/CAM systemsStrong understanding of lean manufacturing principles
