Electronic Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic circuits and systems for mining applications
• Perform schematic capture, simulation, and PCB design review
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation
• Conduct fault analysis and design improvements on existing products
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and design reports
• Collaborate with production, quality, and technical teams during product rollout
• Support manufacturing and resolve design-related issues
• Participate in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives

Minimum Requirements

• Eng in Electronic Engineering essential
• Minimum 35 years experience in electronic design engineering (depending on level)
• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools
• Ability to interpret and apply technical standards and specifications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Advantageous Experience

• Experience designing electronic equipment for mining or industrial environments
• Knowledge of intrinsically safe design and mining regulations
• Embedded systems, microcontrollers, or FPGA experience
• Exposure to EMC/EMI compliance and testing
• Experience supporting products through manufacturing and lifecycle management
