Dispatch Supervisor

Overview: 

Our client in the automotive sector is looking for a Despatch Supervisor to oversee Finished Goods Warehouse functions with associated control measures.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain/ Warehouse Management
• 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing
• Computer literacy – MS Office and Syspro

Responsibilities: 

Stores functions:

• Ensure inventory is accurate through daily cycle counts
• Manage Supply Chain Transfers (SCTs)
• Fulfil despatch activities
• Monitor ageing of SLONO (Slow Moving & No Movement) stock
• Ensure variances are investigated thoroughly & action is taken to align stock (negative receipts, adjustments, receipts etc)
• Ensure all Goods In Transit (GIT) is receipted in
• Ensure all items are checked and sent to offsite warehouse
• Co–ordinate driver collections & deliveries
• Ensure stock is sent to offsite warehouses timeously
• Ensure stock is labelled correctly
• Ensure loads are secure
• Ensure packaging standards are achieved
• Perform general duties: filing, reports etc
  

PPO:

• Ensure PPO orders are delivered on time
• Liaise with production for support
• Liaise with Logistics Co-ordinators for SCTs & PNCs (Part Number Changes) for PPO support
• Co–ordinate invoicing readiness
• Ensure PODs (Proof of Deliveries) are signed & stamped
• Create digital records & file hard copies
• Manage stillages
  

Vehicles & Forklifts:

• Ensure Vehicles are controlled (Licences, services, logbooks, registers, inspections, expense reports etc) in line with the company expectations &  Logistics Specialist
• Ensure Forklifts & loading equipment are controlled (Load tests, bi-annual checks, services, faults, daily check sheets, conform to safety
• legislation etc)
  

Staff management:

• Ensure team members comply with departmental policies and procedures
• Ensure team members participate actively in toolbox talks & sign toolbox talk notices
• Assist with wage queries, time sheets, sick leave etc
• Motivate team members using Recognition programmes & other tools
  

Stores standards:

• Stand in for Stores Assistant should he be absent
• Maintain world class Housekeeping in the department through the application of
