Minimum requirements:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Minimum 35 years' experience in procurement within a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience in raw material procurement.
  • Technical buying experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software
  • Workshop or machining experience is essential
  • Knowledge of reverse engineering principles will be advantageous
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Computer literate with experience on ERP or procurement systems
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
