Description
Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of this role is to effectively manage the procurement, control, and documentation of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
This includes ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely processing of purchase requests and invoices, and maintaining up-to-date inventory data on EMA.
The position supports operational efficiency by coordinating with suppliers, assisting the purchasing and finance departments, and conducting regular inspections and stock counts to prevent production delays and ensure compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

The position supports operational efficiency by coordinating with suppliers, assisting the purchasing and finance departments, and conducting regular inspections and stock counts to prevent production delays and ensure compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create purchase requests for local tool suppliers via EMA.
- Verify goods received against invoices.
- Ensure timely submission of invoices to the purchasing department.
- Record all tools and equipment in accordance with the loan tool register.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports.
- Conduct cycle counts as required to ensure EMA data accuracy.
- Perform stock counts upon request from the finance department.
- Complete daily motorized equipment inspection sheets.
- Complete daily equipment control forms.
- Communicate with local suppliers as necessary.
- Notify the purchasing department of urgent requests to prevent production delays or line stoppages.
- Manage the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment, and assets.
- Perform ad hoc duties within the scope of the role as required.
- Matric or equivalent qualification (higher qualification advantageous).
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
- SAP knowledge essential.
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel.
- Knowledge or experience with maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Commitment to Health and Safety standards.
