The Sales Engineer provides technical sales support and engineering solutions for biological wastewater treatment projects across Africa. This role combines engineering expertise with commercial acumen to develop client proposals, select appropriate technologies, cost solutions, and oversee project delivery from enquiry through to commissioning. The incumbent acts as the primary technical interface and client liaison between customers and the organisation, translating customer needs into viable engineering solutions whilst driving business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee correct technology selection and application for all sales enquiries to ensure optimal client solutions;
  • Expand market share across residential, commercial, municipal, and mining sectors through technical sales excellence;
  • Deliver turnkey biological wastewater treatment solutions that exceed customer expectations whilst maintaining profitability and quality standards;
  • Build long-term client relationships through responsive service delivery and technical expertise; and
  • Develop sustainable wastewater treatment solutions aligned with environmental stewardship and safety principles

Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):
  • Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Chemical Engineering
  • Biological wastewater treatment technology training including SBR, MBR, MBBR, Trickling Filters, and RBC systems
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in External Sales
  • Tender management methodologies
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management
  • Equipment selection and sizing methodologies
  • Strong understanding of AutoCAD and/or Revit
