Project Engineer (Mining / EPCM Projects)

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in project engineering within mining, EPCM, or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience working on mining infrastructure, plant, underground, or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, engineering processes, and mining operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera, or similar project management software.
• Knowledge of mining health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and execution activities.
• Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction, and operational teams.

Project Execution

• Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and site activities.

Cost & Resource Management

• Assist with project budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
• Identify risks, delays, and opportunities for operational improvement.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with mining safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in inspections, risk assessments, and quality control processes.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

• Provide regular progress updates and technical reports to management and clients.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
