Land Systems Design engineer

a leading engineering and defence technology company specializing in advanced land systems, armored vehicles, and mission-critical mechanical solutions. We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Land Systems division and contribute to the development of innovative, high-performance ground platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for land-based platforms (vehicles, weapon mounts, mobility systems, structural assemblies).
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Conduct FEA, structural analysis, and design validation testing.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and production handover.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, systems, manufacturing).
• Ensure compliance with military and industry standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 37 years experience in mechanical design (defence or heavy vehicle industry preferred).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks / CATIA / Inventor or similar).
• Experience with structural steel, armor systems, or heavy mechanical assemblies.
• Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes (welding, machining, fabrication).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
