Duties and Responsibilities Electrician (Food Manufacturing)Electrical Maintenance & RepairsInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, control panels, motors, drives, and switchgear.Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and packaging equipment.Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns to minimize production downtime.Diagnose faults using electrical testing equipment and technical drawings. Production Equipment SupportMaintain electrical components of food processing machinery such as:ConveyorsMixersOvensFillersPackaging and labelling machinesAssist with machine changeovers, upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment.Support production teams during start-ups and shutdowns. Compliance & Food Safety Ensure all electrical work complies with:Local electrical regulations and standardsFood safety requirements (HACCP, GMP, ISO, FSSC, etc.)Maintain hygienic electrical installations suitable for food-grade environments.Prevent contamination risks by ensuring enclosures, wiring, and fittings are properly sealed and cleanable. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)Follow all company safety policies and procedures.Lockout/tagout equipment before performing maintenance.Identify electrical hazards and report unsafe conditions.Use appropriate PPE at all times.
