Description
Our client, an established Engineering and Management Consultancy firm, is seeking to appoint a suitable, experienced and qualified Resident Engineer (Geotechnical).
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required:
- Must have a B.Sc Eng / B.Eng / B.Tech Eng. qualification in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering.
- Must be Pr.Eng / Pr.Tech Eng registered.
- Highly Computer Literate
- COTO application & the GCC and FIDIC forms of Contract
- Understanding of the Construction Industry
- Disciplinary Procedures
- SANRAL & Service Provider Contracts
- Technically competent with an understanding of the built environment.
- Project Management Concepts
- Pavement Evaluation and Design
- Pavement Materials Investigations
- Road Asset Management
- Pavement specific knowledge and experience
- Minimum 20yrs relevant geotechnical experience on major road projects..
- Traffic loading analysis
- HDM-4 Economic Analysis
- Management and mentorship of design teams
- Road Construction (Contracts Engineering)
- Tender Documentation and Evaluations
- Proposals and tendering for consultant services.
Salary: R130 000 per month
