They operate a commercial tendering process that involves global pricing inputs and multi-million-rand contracts.The Role: EXCEL SPECIALIST & TENDER ANALYSTThe role exists to serve as the engine room of the bidding process by building, managing, and auditing intricate tender costing models. It contributes to the business by ensuring 100% accuracy in pricing data and transforming raw figures into strategic insights to win contracts. The main focus areas include advanced cost modeling, technical process automation using VBA and Power Query, and commercial reporting for decision-makers.Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate a proven track record in a data-intensive role, ideally within Tender Costing, Procurement, or Financial Modeling.Execute daily updates to tender costing models while ensuring the integrity of complex nested formulas and multi-sheet dependencies.Build and maintain standardized Excel templates and robust databases for historical tender-related data.Leverage VBA, Macros, and Power Query to automate repetitive tasks and enhance reporting speed.Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify pricing trends, margin leaks, and optimization points.Translate complex datasets into high-impact visualizations and executive summaries.Collaborate with cross-functional departments to verify global pricing inputs.Utilize Power BI or Tableau to visualize data anomalies and cost-saving opportunities if required.About YouExpert-level Excel skills including VBA, Macros, Power Query, and Advanced Logic.Bachelors Degree (Preferred) in Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related analytical field.Ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.Exceptional attention to detail due to the significant commercial impact of errors.Reliable commute to Epping, Western Cape.Familiarity with Data Visualizat
