An Accountant

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the full accounting function, including but not limited to:
  • Processing General Ledger entries and reconciling cashbooks
  • Performing monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Maintaining the Fixed Assets Register
  • Preparing, reconciling, and submitting VAT returns and payments
  • Conducting weekly cash flow forecasting
  • Analysing expenses and financial data
  • Preparing and analysing management reports
  • Assisting the Finance Director (FD) and Finance Manager (FM) as needed

Skills & Experience Required:

• Completed B.Com Accounting degree
• 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel and BPO) and advanced MS Excel skills
• Prior experience with commission calculations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Excellent analytical skills
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Deadline-driven with the ability to handle pressure
• Willingness to work overtime during month-end
