Our client, a leading organisation within the mining sector, is seeking an experienced Regional Officer Social Development to drive Social and Labour Plan (SLP) compliance, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable community development initiatives across the Western and Eastern Cape.
?????? ????????????????????????????????:
- Manage and implement Social and Labour Plan (SLP) and Social & Economic Development (SED) initiatives.
- Drive stakeholder engagement with the DMPR, government departments, municipalities, tribal authorities and community structures.
- Draft, submit and manage SLPs and Section 102 amendment applications.
- Ensure compliance with the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA), the Mining Charter and all relevant legislation.
- Monitor Human Resources Development programmes, Employment Equity, procurement, downscaling, housing and living conditions.
- Develop, review and implement Local Economic Development (LED) and Corporate Social Investment (CSI) projects.
- Compile and manage project plans, budgets and implementation schedules.
- Draft and facilitate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs).
- Monitor and report on SLP commitments and expenditure on both a monthly and annual basis.
- Compile Mining Charter reports and prepare for regulatory audits and inspections.
- Chair regional SED forum meetings and maintain ongoing engagement with communities to ensure sustainable development initiatives address local needs.

- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Social Sciences, Community
- Development, Development Studies or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar social development or
- community engagement role.
- Knowledge of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act,
- Social and Labour Plans and the Mining Charter.
- Experience working with government departments, municipalities and
- community stakeholders.
- Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder
- engagement skills.
- Strong report writing and administrative abilities.
- Valid medical fitness for the mining environment will be advantageous.
- Regional knowledge of the Western and Eastern Cape will be beneficial.

About the RoleYou will manage built environment and infrastructure projects across the full project life cycle, from Stages 1 to 6, with a strong focus on the front-end stages of project initiation, briefing, feasibility, concept development, design coordination, statutory approvals, procurement preparation and tender readiness.
