Responsibilities:Including, but not limited to:Complete training asShadow Project & Mechanical Engineers, Field Service and Subsea Engineers in order to gain a fundamental understanding of the design, operation, inspection and repair of Capital Drilling Equipment, as well as all the processes, procedures, of the Company.Work alongside the current engineering team assisting with design requests for specialProvide assistance to Project & Mechanical Engineers with in-house development, which will be primary function in this role, including strength calculations (from ï¬rst principles and FEA/Simulation when required), 3D CAD modelling and drawing using SolidWorks, manufacturing data pack generation (incl. BOMs, QCPs and Works Instructions) and vendor management during fabrication stage.Will join the design engineering team focusing on subsea well control equipmentManage design, development & manufacturing projects, which will be the secondary function in this role, from inception through to delivery, initially with assistance of management but ultimately unaided; this will include, but will not be limited to, procurement, logistics, resource planning, scheduling, reporting, inspection report reviews, databook generation and submission.Draft manuals and procedures asReport eï¬?ectively to management andAlways ensure a safe working Qualiï¬cations & Experience:Mechanical EngineeringVacation or experiential training relevant to the ï¬eld, would be Skills:The following are the minimum skills required to perform the function:An advanced knowledge of the MS Oï¬?ceExcellent written communicator (email; technical report writing).Excellent level of English, both written andSound understanding of 3D CAD packages, in particular SolidWorks would beKnowledge in FEA software, in particular SolidWorks Simulation, would beKnowledge in Engineering Calculations Software,
