Outbound Manager

Minimum Requirements:

1. Matric / Grade 12
2. Tertiary qualification advantageous
3. Very strong administration skills
4. Understanding of export fruit quality standards
5. Computer literate (Excel essential)
6. Titan export data experience
7. Keen eye for detail
8. General business understanding and outbound management exposure
9. Own transport

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

• Conduct daily inventory counts in the morning to verify pallet stock
• Monitor and manage pallet stock levels to plan daily dispatch volumes
• Perform stock ageing analyses to ensure effective stock rotation, following the FIFO principle
• Verify that all pallets are correctly receipted into the system before being dispatched

PPECB Inspections and Compliance

• Ensure that all carton labels and pallet details are correct prior to PPECB inspections
• Correctly identify and number sample pallets for PPECB verification
• Assist PPECB inspectors by providing samples and taking them to the inspection room
• Schedule PPECB inspections in advance to ensure clearance prior to shipment
• For shipments to the USA, ensure that pallets and samples are 100% correctly packed, labelled, and documented

Loading and Dispatch Coordination

• Arrange pallets according to loading instructions
• Assist with palletising to ensure pallets are correctly built and ready for dispatch
• Ensure that Titan export data is accurate by verifying that received pallets contain the correct intake information
• Coordinate truck loading and ensure the correct trucks receive the correct pallets
• Monitor and optimise truck turnaround times to minimise delays and improve efficiency

Documentation

• Ensure that pallets are correctly consigned out of the system after dispatch
• Manage and distribute PI and PO files (Purchase Orders), ensuring all documents are correctly sent to producers
• Send all intake and dispatch documentation to the relevant parties on time
• Ensure that consignment notes are correctly generated and match system data
• Report missing or misdirected pallets to the Systems Coordinator

Transport Arrangements

• Arrange transportation as required

Cold Room Communication

• Communicate daily updates to exporters regarding stock in the cold room
