Key Responsibilities
Front Office Leadership & Guest Service
  • Lead the front desk team during assigned shifts, ensuring service excellence at all times
  • Welcome guests and deliver a warm, professional first impression
  • Oversee smooth and efficient check-ins, check-outs, and billing procedures
  • Resolve guest enquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Ensure service delivery aligns with the hotels luxury positioning
Operational & Administrative Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily front office operations and ensure SOPs are followed
  • Accurately manage reservations, billing, and guest profiles on Opera PMS
  • Prepare and conduct detailed shift handovers
  • Support staff scheduling, break management, and shift coordination
  • Liaise effectively with Housekeeping, Porters, Maintenance, and Management
  • Assist with training, mentoring, and performance guidance of reception staff
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Reception Shift Leader or Senior Receptionist within a large, branded hotel
  • Opera PMS experience is essential
  • Strong guest service background in a 4 or 5-star branded hotel environment
  • Valid South African ID or valid work permit
  • Computer literacy including Opera PMS and Microsoft Office
  • CV must be fully updated before submission
