An Estimator

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as an Estimator in the steel industry
• Strong ability to read and understand advanced drawings
• Proven technical knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes
• Solid understanding of how steel components are produced, machined, and assembled
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in steel fabrication, heavy engineering, or manufacturing environments
• Experience working closely with production and engineering teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication and manufacturing projects
• Interpret and analyse advanced engineering and mechanical drawings
• Assess material, labour, machining, fabrication, and finishing costs
• Determine feasible manufacturing methods for components based on design specifications
• Liaise with engineering, production, and procurement teams to validate costs and processes
• Compile quotations, tenders, and supporting technical documentation
• Review and update estimates based on design or scope changes
