Assistant Kitchen Manager

Grimaldi’s is looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is perfect for a chef with leadership skills, a passion for exceptional food, and the ability to maintain high standards across all kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service

• Supervise preparation and execution of salads, starters, and desserts, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation

• Manage mise en place, stock control, and ingredient preparation across all kitchen sections

• Uphold strict hygiene, safety, and food handling standards

• Support staff training, coaching, and team development

• Assist in menu planning, recipe standardization, and quality improvements

• Step in to assist other sections of the kitchen during peak service

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with supervisory experience

• Strong skills in salads, starters, desserts, and general kitchen operations

• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills

• Creativity and attention to detail in flavors, textures, and presentation

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
