Reporting Accountant

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Accounting or CA(SA) qualification.
• Minimum 35 years' relevant financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience within the manufacturing, mining or heavy industrial sector will be highly advantageous.
• A stable employment history with the desire to establish a long-term career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS.
• Compile and review monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
• Support the month-end and year-end close process.
• Analyze financial results and provide meaningful commentary on variances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and financial reporting requirements.
• Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes and financial controls.
• Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Work closely with senior finance leadership while developing into a future Financial Manager position.
