Operations Risk Controller

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day control room operations, monitoring high-value cargo movements, and ensuring that all operational risks are identified, managed, and escalated appropriately.
This is a high-responsibility role requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage control room operations (day/night shift)
• Monitor line haul movements and courier routes to ensure operational efficiency
• Track vehicles and cargo using GPS, camera systems, and tracking platforms
• Manage access control and security protocols
• Coordinate with third-party security providers (e.g., armed escorts)
• Conduct incident investigations and escalate risks appropriately
• Ensure compliance with security and operational standards
• Maintain accurate reporting and communicate with management
• Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and service levels

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Minimum 5 years experience in the security industry
• Minimum 5 years experience within a control room environment
• Strong exposure to courier, logistics, or transport operations (essential)
• Experience monitoring high-value cargo or fleet operations
• Ability to work night shifts and under pressure

Technical & Functional Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with tracking systems, GPS monitoring, and CCTV systems
• Understanding of radio systems, telecommunication tools, and operational workflows
• Strong knowledge of route monitoring and incident management
