Network Security Specialist

Industry: Manufacturing/Industrial | Location: Bryanston | Environment: Office-based, occasional travel
Non-negotiables: CCNA (or similar), ITIL Foundation, 2+ years of network support experience, vendor management

Play a pivotal role in securing and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure, collaborate with multiple departments and vendors, and gain visibility across cross-site ICT operations.

• Minimum Required:
  
  • Matric
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • Proven experience in IT support and network services management
• Preferred:
  
  • Diploma in Information Technology
  • Exposure to industrial/manufacturing networks

• 2+ years in network support roles
• Hands-on experience managing network service providers
• Experience with:
  
  • Change and asset/configuration management
  • Lifecycle planning (hardware & software)
  • Network and security diagnostics, troubleshooting, and monitoring
  • IT project delivery (network/security stream)
  • Vendor/contract management
  • Technical documentation
  • Security software and hardware definition
  • Budget and procurement input
  • First-line desktop/user support (ad hoc)
• Ability to travel between company sites when required

1. Network & Security Operations
   
   • Maintain, monitor, and improve network and security environments
   • Ensure alignment with IT best practices and standards
   • Perform diagnostics and resolve issues
2. Vendor & Lifecycle Management
   
   • Oversee vendor relationships (contracts, performance, costs)
   • Manage network assets, configurations, and lifecycle upgrades
3. Project & Change Leadership
   
   • Act as technical lead for network/security in IT projects
   • Ensure efficient resource planning and change management
4. Documentation & Reporting
   
   • Maintain up-to-date network and security procedure documentation
   • Compile reports on IT performance, issues, and changes
5. Security & Compliance
   
   • Help define network security standards and tools
   • Support compliance with corporate and legal IT security policies
6. Support & Admin Services
   
   • Deliver ad hoc desktop support and IT admin services as needed
   • Ensure fast issue resolution with minimal disruption<
