Management Accountant

Duties:

• Preparing and processing month-end journals, invoices and business unit costs.
• Producing accurate monthly management accounts and divisional income statements.
• Preparing executive management reporting packs and presenting financial insights to leadership.
• Performing account reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of stock, costing, allocations and payments.
• Supporting the annual budgeting, forecasting and target-setting process.
• Preparing financial presentations and performance reports for senior stakeholders.
• Partnering with operational managers to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Identifying trends, analysing variances and recommending opportunities for cost optimisation and improved business performance.
• Ensuring accurate financial reporting while maintaining strong governance and financial controls.

Job Experience & Skills Required:


Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom
• BCom Accounting Honours.
• CIMA qualification or currently studying towards CIMA.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' Management Accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of: Cost & Management Accounting, Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting. Variance Analysis. Reconciliations, Inventory & Costing
• Industry experience within Manufacturing, FMCG, Chemicals, Packaging, Mining, Industrial, Engineering, or Supply Chain & Logistics environments will be highly advantageous.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• ERP experience (JDE exposure will be advantageous).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
