Company and Job Description: A well-established company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join its Finance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who is confident in managing the full accounting function, while also contributing to financial reporting, compliance, and business insights. As the Bookkeeper you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and supporting strategic decision-making through timely reporting and analysis. The role blends transactional duties with higher-level financial responsibilities, using Sage accounting software.Key Responsibilities: Full-function accounting using SagePreparation and submission of VAT returnsMaintenance of the fixed asset registerDebtors and cashbook processingBank reconciliations and journal entriesPreparation of cost and expense analysis reportsMonthly management accounts and trial balance reviewsPreparation of Annual Financial StatementsBalance sheet reconciliations and cash flow reporting (daily, weekly, and forecast)Assisting with audit processes and liaising with auditorsSupporting directors with financial queriesSales reporting and accuracy checksHandling accruals (including GRN and WIP) and reconciliationsCommission calculationsJob Experience and Skills Required:Relevant accounting qualification (Diploma/Degree or equivalent)Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar roleStrong working knowledge of Sage (essential)Solid understanding of VAT, management accounts, and financial statementsExperience with audits, reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting Apply now!
