Financial Manager

Chartered Accountant (CA) with working knowledge in accounting

Experience Required: 12 years post-articles actual accounting experience (technology sector exposure is an advantage but not essential)

Our client operates across multiple international markets including South Africa, the USA, Canada, the UK, and Australia.

They are seeking a confident, tech-savvy CA who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of multi-country financial reporting.
This role is ideal for someone who has moved past the "newly qualified" stage and has gained 12 years of hands-on accounting experience.
Cross-border exposure would be a bonus, but a love for numbers, structure, compliance, and technology will take you far.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and analyse consolidated financial statements across several jurisdictions
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, SAICA standards, and regional regulations (including US, UK, and Canada GAAP)
- Conduct variance analysis, forecasting, and cost-control reviews
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for global entities

Taxation & Compliance
- Manage tax compliance across South Africa, the USA, Canada, the UK, and Australia
- Ensure adherence to SARS, IRS, HMRC, CRA, and ATO regulations
- Develop international tax strategies for optimisation and compliance
- Support transfer pricing requirements and intercompany transactions

Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Oversee global budgeting processes
- Monitor and optimise multi-currency cash flow
- Provide strategic insights to executive teams for growth and investment

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Engage with finance teams across multiple countries
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions
- Lead financial projects including automation and systems integration

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- CA(SA) SAICA registered
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 12 years post-articles experience in accounting, financial management, or taxation

- International reporting (IFRS, GAAP or similar)
- Multi-country tax exposure
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Xero, or similar global systems
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experience working with global or multinational teams
- Understanding of forex, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions
