Role Responsibilities:

- Prepare management accounts, month-end journals, and financial statements.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cost analysis related to food processing activities.
- Handle stock accounting, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and yield reporting.
- Partner with production teams to understand waste, shrinkage, overhead allocations, and cost drivers.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling for production and distribution units.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls across all processing sites.
- Prepare audit files and support external auditors during year-end.
- Drive process improvements and standardisation across finance and production functions.
- Assist in CAPEX reporting, fixed asset management, and operational cost control initiatives.
- BCom Accounting or equivalent.
- SAICA/SAIPA articles advantageous.
- 35 years experience as a Financial Accountant within FMCG, food processing, or manufacturing.
- Strong cost accounting experience (essential).
- Advanced Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to engage with operational teams.
