Financial Accountant

An industry-leading construction organisation is searching for a competent Accountant to join their dynamic finance team in Centurion.

This permanent position is suited to a technically strong finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, maintaining sound accounting controls, and supporting effective financial management across various projects and business units.

Job & Company Description:

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and annual financial statements
• Manage the general ledger and perform key reconciliations
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial procedures
• Provide financial insights to enhance reporting accuracy, cost management, and operational effectiveness
• Contribute to project accounting and cost monitoring within the construction environment

Key Responsibilities:

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance
• 35 years experience in a full-function accounting role
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and organisational skills
• Experience in the construction sector is a significant advantage
• Exposure to the full finance function (General Ledger, Reconciliations, Trial Balance)
