An Accountant

With exposure from general ledger to trial balance and to drafting financial statements, youll be a key player in maintaining financial discipline and ensuring transparent reporting across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full financial function, including GL, journals, reconciliations, and monthly TB
• Prepare accurate management accounts and assist with FS drafting
• Maintain strong balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reviews
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and statutory requirements
• Liaise with Auditors and support internal/external audit processes
• Partner with operations to ensure cost accuracy and financial clarity across projects

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Accounting plus completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (non-negotiable)
• 23 years post-article commercial experience
• Construction or project-based experience beneficial
• Strong exposure to GL, reconciliations, trial balance, and financial statement preparation
• Solid Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems
• Deadline-driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative
• Strong communication skills with confidence engaging operational teams
