Installation Instructions
Thank you for purchasing this high-quality Domestic plastic water meter – pulse ready – 20mm. As a matter of fact the steps below will guide you through the proper
installation process for your Polymer Piston Water Meter to ensure top
performance and compliance with warranty conditions provided by The
Water Company.
Step 1: Protecting the Meter
Start by ensuring all plastic water meters are covered post
installation. This protects the meter from direct sunlight, which can be
done using a housing or meter box.
Step 2: Sizing
Make sure the water meter is correctly sized according to the pipe size or the flow rate.
Step 3: Flushing Pipework
Before installation:
Flush all pipework to remove debris or sand, ensuring a clean pipeline.
Step 4: Meter Orientation
Install piston meters either horizontally or vertically.
Step 5: Avoiding Pressure
Ensure no pressure is applied to the meter during installation from
misaligned pipes or excessive vibration, which can lead to failure.
Step 6: Fitting Installation
Avoid over-tightening fittings and excessive use of sealing materials like sealing tape, which can cause leaks.
Step 7: Thread Treatment
Only use thread tape or PTFE tape, ideally with tailpieces.
Step 8: Soldering Precautions
Avoid soldering near the meter, especially where brass fittings are involved, to prevent damage from heat.
Step 9: Water Type
Ensure the meter installed for cold water is not used in a hot water pipeline.
Step 10: Appropriate Usage
Use the meter only for clean potable water to avoid damage and inaccuracies.
Step 11: Handling Care
Handle the meter carefully as it is a precision measuring instrument. Do not drop it or break the meter seal.
Step 12: Thread Fittings
Avoid using tapered thread fittings; Use of tailpieces is preferable.
Step 13: Additional ProtectionInstall a strainer before the water meter to protect it from sand or foreign debris.

Domestic brass water meter – CL C pulse ready – 25mm
FEATURES
Meter accuracy is not affected by the angle of installation.Approved for both horizontal and vertical installation.Clear easy read, liquid-filled 8-digit counter.Pulse prepared.Working temperature between 2°C and 40°C.Minimum reading 0,00002m3.Internal Non-Return Valve and Strainer.Working pressure 1600 kPa.Grooved piston for improved performance and reliability.Inlet and Outlet threads are compatible with ISO metric sizes.20mm meter has a bowed strainer with an increased mesh area.20mm & 25mm meter has spring loaded non-return valve.Robust leakproof construction. No external calibration facility prevents tampering.DZR body.
Installation Instructions
Installation Requirements
Firstly the Domestic brass water meter – CL C pulse ready – 25mm is
approved by the NRCS. For vertical and horizontal installation and its
accuracy is not affected by the angle of installation.
This water meter must be installed using the correct water meter tail
pieces. As a matter of fact we sell water meters including tail pieces.
N.B. Standard female pipe adaptors must not be screwed
directly onto the inlet/outlet of the water meter itself under any
circumstances.
Note: This is a cold-water meter with a maximum
working temperature of 50 °C. As a result should the water temperature
at the metering point exceed this, this meter will be damaged
irreparably. Do not solder capillary-type fittings while fitted to the
meter or use heat while this meter is fitted in the pipeline. Heat
travels through the pipe during this process and this will damage the
internals of the water meter irreparably.
Any position where the meter may be subjected to shock, cavitation,
water hammer or surging due to rapid operation of valves etc. must be
avoided as damage to the meter will result.
Ensure that the pipework at the metering point lines up correctly so
that damage to the meter by installation stresses is prevented.
Another key point precautions must be taken to prevent freezing. All
things considered a meter will be damaged and could even burst if the
water freezes. The meter should also be installed at least one meter
away from any freezing point like a standpipe for example where the
water can freeze back down the pipeline from that point.

Please note that shipping and installation is not included.First thing to remember the Feka VS submersible grinder pump 1kW is a
single-stage submersible pump. Incorporating an AISI 630 stainless
steel shredder, designed for transferring untreated wastewater
containing stringy material.
It is suited to settings where a high head is required. Such as in
the case of pipework with a small diameter or where connection to the
public sewer is some distance away. Or when wanting to avoid the risk of
clogging. In addition, with its small footprint and both flanged and
threaded outlet ports, Feka VS Grinder is ideal as a replacement in
existing or outdated systems.
This is further testament to how DAB is attuned to the needs of all
market players, from the installer to the end user. Feka vs submersible
grinder pump 1kW is specifically sized to fully meet the functional,
performance and consumption requirements of the specific applications
for which it has been designed, ensuring maximum performance levels
without wasting energy and economic resources.
Finally wear-resistant materials, such as cast iron and stainless
steel, and performance capable of achieving heads of up to 25 meters,
come together to ensure an increasingly rewarding installation and user
experience, and a longer pump life
