You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining all operational systems, standard operating procedures, staff policies and daily processes. This includes allocating daily duties, monitoring performance, conducting regular management meetings, ensuring accountability across all departments and creating an organised, disciplined and professional working environment.A strong understanding of stock control and cost management is essential. The successful candidate must have experience managing stock ordering, supplier relationships, stock holding levels, daily, weekly and monthly stock takes, food and beverage cost control, wastage management and the implementation of systems to minimise losses and improve profitability.The role also requires someone who understands restaurant financial management and can monitor sales performance, labour costs, operating expenses and gross profit while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and maximise revenue. Experience with restaurant POS systems, operational reporting and business management software is essential.You will be responsible for recruiting, training, mentoring and developing staff, managing performance, implementing disciplinary procedures where necessary and ensuring that every employee understands their responsibilities and delivers consistently high standards of customer service. Maintaining compliance with all food safety, health, hygiene and licensing requirements will also form part of your responsibilities.We are looking for someone who is organised, disciplined, proactive and able to think strategically while remaining hands-on in the daily operation of the business. You must possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities and the confidence to make decisions, solve problems and hold people accountable. Above all, we are looking for an individual who takes ownership of the business, leads by example and has the experience and ability to build systems that allow the restaurant to operate efficiently, consistently and profitably.Applicants must have a minimum of five years' experience in a senior restaurant management role with a proven history of successfully managing high-volume restaurant operations.
