RESTAURANT FLOOR SUPERVISOR - KNYSNA 5-star boutique hotel requires the services of an experienced Floor Manager to manage their upmarket and respected restaurant. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Provide guests with a consistently high-quality dining experience. · Motivate staff and demonstrate superior customer service skills. · Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. · Be responsible for inventory management, scheduling, and maintaining a positive and efficient environment on the dining floor. · Support the broader restaurant staff, when necessary, by waiting at tables or seating customers. · Be in charge of both responding to customer complaints and resolving them. · As a supervisor, you will also help the team meet its standards for quality and profitability. · Training of new staff and continuous training of existing staff. · Provide exceptional customer service and lead staff to do the same · Work with staff to project future needs for kitchen supplies, goods, and cleaning products. · Maintain inventory of all needed supplies · Identify methods our restaurant can use to cut waste, decrease costs, and improve profits. · Manage the work schedules of the restaurant’s staff SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: MatriculationPrevious supervisory experience in the hospitality industry preferredProven ability to work in a fast-paced settingStrong multi-tasking skillsHave the physical ability to remain standing for long periods of timeExceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skillsStrong managerial skills. Minimum 2 years of experience in a restaurant supervisory roleMust be fluent in EnglishComputer literate, point of sale and stock control essential.Knowledge of NightsBridge and Opera.An ability to create a positive guest experienceGood knowledge of food, wine, beverage, cocktails, cost control Forward thinking to create promotions, within the company guidelines Good communication with guests and staff Ability to handle conflict, problem solve and perform basic disciplinary procedures with the guidance of upper management Very good interpersonal / leadership skills.Positive attitude.Integrity.
