Description of duties:
•Managing and overseeing the refrigeration and electrical division of the workshop.
•Act as support to the Production and Project Engineers.
•Assist with Technical design and drawing of all new and/or existing drawings as required in all departments.
•Improve, and develop design of existing processes, production units, machine parts, techniques and/or relevant components of plant machines.
•Assist and support maintenance team with the modification and correct application of mechanical changes to existing machinery.
•Accurate record keeping, issuing, and general control of all drawings at all times.
•Research of current / existing processes, machine parts, machine components, and/or techniques.
•Provide sound advice and support to R&D, Plant and Project engineers at all times.
•Costing, quoting and procurement of projects.
•Liaising with customers and site visits for project scoping and measurements
•Assist with mechanical design, development, review, documentation, and delivery.
•Project planning, updates, and reports.
Requirements:
•Matric / Grade 12.
•National Diploma / BTech or BEng Mechanical Engineering.
•Electrical / Refrigeration experience advantageous.
•Experience on Solid works & AutoCAD – Advantageous.
•Minimum of 3-5 years’ similar experience.
•Own transport and valid license.
•Fully computer literate.

• Complete paperwork and other minor administrative tasks at the beginning and end of your shift, carefully ensuring all information is entered correctly and clearly.
• Perform simple hourly maintenance on your machine to ensure it is completely functional and safe to operate.
• Support other machine operators to ensure no workers become fatigued or distracted during daily operation.
• Perceive the production line ahead of you to anticipate errors and adjust as needed to prevent slowing down more than necessary.
