Requirements for Entry:
•A hearty serving of Grade 12 education.
•Your trusty steed (aka your own car) and a valid license for adventures beyond the drafting table.
•Mastery of the tools of the trade: AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
•A seasoning of sheet metal bending experience, adding flavor to your drafting repertoire.
•A knack for laser cutting drawings and nesting’s, ensuring every piece fits together like a perfect recipe.

Our client is an innovative manufacturer of retail shop displays and furniture and they are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Mechanical Engineer to join their team.
Description of duties:
•Managing and overseeing the refrigeration and electrical division of the workshop.
•Act as support to the Production and Project Engineers.
•Assist with Technical design and drawing of all new and/or existing drawings as required in all departments.
•Improve, and develop design of existing processes, production units, machine parts, techniques and/or relevant components of plant machines.
•Assist and support maintenance team with the modification and correct application of mechanical changes to existing machinery.
•Accurate record keeping, issuing, and general control of all drawings at all times.
•Research of current / existing processes, machine parts, machine components, and/or techniques.
•Provide sound advice and support to R&D, Plant and Project engineers at all times.
•Costing, quoting and procurement of projects.
•Liaising with customers and site visits for project scoping and measurements
•Assist with mechanical design, development, review, documentation, and delivery.
•Project planning, updates, and reports.
Requirements:
•Matric / Grade 12.
•National Diploma / BTech or BEng Mechanical Engineering.
•Electrical / Refrigeration experience advantageous.
•Experience on Solid works & AutoCAD – Advantageous.
•Minimum of 3-5 years’ similar experience.
•Own transport and valid license.
•Fully computer literate.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the planning of overall day to day production.
Management of production staff and all other related resources in the manufacturing system.
Develop daily or weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
Implement and maintain production processes and procedures that enhances productivity and efficiency.
Enforce regular housekeeping in the production facility.
Determine material, equipment, and labor requirements, prepare status and performance reports, and resolve production issues.
Provide weekly feedback to senior management on the progress of each job and proactively report all issues experienced.
Implement and maintain quality system that enhances and monitor the quality of all products produced.
Assist with administrative related duties to ensure all paperwork for jobs are done.
Requirements:

Requirements:
Matric certificate
At least 5 years relevant experience.
Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English).
Driverâ??s license.
Own transportation.
Knowledge of accounting systems.
Deadline driven.
Computer literate.
The ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
Maintain stock levels by keeping to the minimum stock quantities.
Monthly stock taking to ensure accuracy of inventories.
Ensure the transactions are entered into the financial systems.
Month-end reporting to the Financial Manager.
Liaise with the suppliers on a regular basis to ensure timely delivery and service.
Liaise with the portfolio manager regarding the orders and invoices.
Maintain good client service to customers and suppliers.
Balancing supplier detailed ledgers and prepare payment requests.
Track, trace, and expedite purchase orders.
Assist portfolio managers with enquiries and quotations.
Assist the technicians with stand by stock and managing the process.
Maintain a high security and proper control of the company assets.
