Autocad Programmer

Our company requires a reliable, hardworking individual who is able to perform well under pressure. Although we list the following minimum requirements, we will consider Graduates with Autocad experience:

Minimum Requirements

- Grade 12

- 2-3 years' experience in AutoCAD

- SigmaNest and/or Solidworks experience (an advantage)

- Own transport

- Available immediately

Key Performance Areas

- Nest parts that are booked in by Sales into our stock plates or Customer own plates

- Piggyback nesting's - when new parts are added with the same material and thickness of a nesting already in process (plates on scheduler in VDS should be parked)

- Update nestings after the Workshop has cut the parts from the plate and change locations

- Ensure that plates are correct on the system after cutting and change the plate if the sizes have changes

- Initiate split sheets for plates to be split and book in the sheets into Sigmanest correctly

- Complete the split sheet instructions after the plate is split and change plates or nestings if the plate is not split on the correct sizes.

- Book in requisitions when there is no stock in the workshop and book in the sheet into Sigmanest correctly

- Communicate with Sales if there are no stock or change from one material to another

- Book in NC's that were generated by the Workshop, nest those parts and pull it over in CDC

- Change parts if necessary

- Nest full plates into the correct ID numbers that are given by the Stock Controller

- Correct nestings when the Workshop returns any problems, plate sizes that are not correct, micro joints to small parts etc

- Ensure that all nestings are up to date and nest according to due dates. Inform the Manager if this is not up to date or if deadlines cannot be met

- Ensure that all piggy backing is done at the end of the day
