This position is ideal for a recently qualified mechanic seeking hands-on experience working on Mercedes-Benz trucks, assisting with servicing, repairs, breakdowns, and general workshop duties in a high-pressure environment.Responsibilities: Assist with the servicing, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles, specifically Mercedes-Benz trucksDiagnose mechanical faults and assist with breakdown repairsPerform routine inspections and preventative maintenanceSupport senior mechanics with complex mechanical repairsEnsure all work is carried out according to safety and quality standardsMaintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environmentComplete job cards and basic technical documentation accuratelyAssist with welding and spray-painting tasks where requiredBe available for overtime and emergency breakdown supportRequirements:Qualified Diesel MechanicExperience working with Mercedes-Benz trucksRecently qualified and seeking workplace experienceStrong work ethic and hands-on attitudeAbility to work under pressureValid South African drivers license (EC licence advantageous)Willingness to work overtime and attend to mechanical breakdownsWelding and spray-painting skills will be advantageousPlease note only candidates that meet the minimum requirements will be considered.
