Job Description:

Logistics company is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Code 14 Driver to join our team on a contractual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods across various destinations and must have experience with the rules and regulations of the port/dock of cape town. Also have experience driving links and experience with driving containers.

This is not a permanent position as yet. The candidate will be hired as an independent contractor, starting with a 3-month probation period, with the possibility of continued work based on performance and operational needs.

Requirements:

• Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver’s Licence with a valid PrDP

• Minimum 3 years of Code 14 driving experience

• Understanding of the port/docks rules and protocols is essential

• Must live in Cape Town, preferably near or in Bellville

• Age between 35 and 45 (preferred for experience and reliability)

• Clean driving record

• Must be physically fit and able to assist with loading/offloading if required

• Must be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines

• Must have knowledge of driving code 14 trucks that links container trailers.

• Excellent knowledge of Western Cape routes and national roads

• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends when needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport goods safely and efficiently

• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any faults

• Ensure timely deliveries and maintain communication with dispatch

• Follow all road safety and traffic regulations

• Maintain a clean and professional appearance

• Represent EK MOVE Logistics in a professional and courteous manner at all times

Contract Terms:

• Position Type: Independent Contractor

• Probation Period: 3 months

• Remuneration: R10 500 to R12 000

• Start Date: As soon as possible
