Key Responsibilities:Manage the full financial function using BuildSmart software.Oversee general ledger (GL) entries and execute monthly reconciliations (bank and balance sheet).Prepare and analyse the trial balance (TB).Assist with the preparation of full financial statements (FS).Track project-specific costs and manage job costing within the construction environment.Manage subcontractor accounts, retentions, and progress billing.Ensure compliance with all tax regulations (VAT and income tax) and support year-end audits.Job Experience and Skills Required:Education: BCom Degree in Accounting or a related field (essential).Experience: 3-5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the construction or a project-based industry.Technical Knowledge: Extensive exposure to the full financial function (GL, reconciliations, and TB, up to FS preparation).Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with BuildSmart construction accounting software is mandatory.Work Style: A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
