Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
  • Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in application support or systems support.
  • 3+ years experience managing or leading a technical support team.
  • Strong experience working in enterprise application environments.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong SQL Server knowledge (query writing, performance tuning, troubleshooting).
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Ivanti Service Management / Ivanti ITSM / Endpoint Manager.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes.
  • Experience with system integrations and application troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of database structures, APIs, and system interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Support & Operations
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of the Applications Support team.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of critical business applications.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Coordinate incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management.
SQL Database Support
  • Provide advanced SQL support including troubleshooting queries, stored procedures, and database performance issues.
  • Analyse and optimise SQL queries and database structures to improve application performance.
  • Support database maintenance activities including backups, patching, and monitoring.
Ivanti Administration
  • Manage and support Ivanti systems including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and maintain Ivanti workflows, service management processes, and automation where applicable.
  • Ensure optimal performance and reliability of Ivanti solutions.
Team Leadership & Management
  • Lead, mentor and develop the Applications Support team.
  • Allocate tasks and manage workload across the team.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes such as incident, problem, and change management.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and skills development for team members.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams, vendors and business stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on system performance, incidents and improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in project delivery where application support or enhancements are required.
