Senior Network & Systems Administrator

My client is searching for a Senior Network & Systems Administrator to take the lead on configuring, maintaining, securing, and optimizing network infrastructure across multiple environments. The role focuses on uptime, performance, security, and highâ??level troubleshooting, while supporting hybrid infrastructures, cloud connectivity, virtualization environments, and enterpriseâ??scale networking. Daily work includes managing LAN/WAN/VPN/VLANs, Wiâ??Fi, firewalls, switches, routing, Active Directory, Office 365, Azure connectivity, VM environments, backups, monitoring tools, and Windows Server environments. Candidates will also support installations, upgrades, migrations, firmware patching, failover testing, disaster recovery processes, and groupâ??wide IT projects. Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5+ years in IT Administration / Networks with handsâ??on experience in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, switches, Wiâ??Fi, and hybrid cloud connectivity
Strong experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Windows Server (2019/2022), monitoring tools, VPNs, Hyperâ??V, and wireless technologies
Advanced knowledge of servers, networks, VOIP, security, backups, recovery, and Microsoft 365 Suite
Strong troubleshooting ability, problemâ??solving skills, service orientation, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
Aâ??player traits: accountability, efficiency, orginisation, initiative, innovation, teamwork, and reliability

Qualification:
Matric plus A+/N+, MCITP, Network Security+, and/or a Diploma in IT Systems Administration (NQF 4/5)
