Key Responsibilities
Advantageous Skills
- Administer and support enterprise virtualisation environments, primarily VMware.
- Manage and maintain Linux-based infrastructure environments.
- Support backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions, including Zerto and Commvault.
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity management.
- Execute patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of infrastructure systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents and service disruptions.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem management.
- Ensure systems operate in accordance with security and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with infrastructure, network, and project teams to ensure stable and reliable platform operations.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of operational processes where applicable.
- 6+ years experience in enterprise infrastructure or systems engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware virtualisation platforms.
- Solid experience administering Linux environments (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu or similar).
- Experience supporting enterprise backup and disaster recovery platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure support skills in large enterprise environments.
- Experience working in operational / production infrastructure environments.
Advantageous Skills
- Experience with Zerto replication and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience with Commvault backup and data management platforms.
- Exposure to hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Experience with automation or scripting (Bash, Python or Ansible).
- Relevant certifications such as:
- VMware certifications (VCP)
- Red Hat certifications (RHCSA / RHCE)
- Commvault or Zerto certifications.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Excellent infrastructure operations knowledge
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative engineering team
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to operate in high-availability enterprise environments

Main Purpose of the Job (Overall objective)The SAP Support Manager will support the strategic and operational management of the SAP ERP systems.
