Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fibre splicing, termination, and testing using OTDRs, power meters, and related tools.
- Connect FTTH and FTTB clients to the GPON network.
- Diagnose and repair faults to ensure optimal fibre network performance.
- Use network designs, schematics, and technical drawings to complete accurate installations.
- Maintain detailed records of splicing work, test results, and submit asâ??built documents.
- Endâ??toâ??end enterprise linkâ??building experience is highly valued.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to meet deadlines and project goals.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- 3+ years experience in fibre optic splicing, installation, and testing.
- Technical certifications (FOA and CFOT) preferred. High School Diploma required.
- Proficient with OTDRs, power meters, and fusion splicers.
- Strong knowledge of fibre standards, specs, and best practices.
- Experience with underground and aerial installation techniques.
- Able to work at heights, outdoors, in confined spaces, and lift heavy equipment.
- Valid drivers licence, reliable transport, flexible availability, and strong problemâ??solving skills.
