Debtors Clerk

To manage and control the full accounts receivable function, ensuring accurate invoicing, effective credit control, and timely collection of outstanding debt while maintaining strong client relationships.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Relevant finance qualification (Certificate, Diploma)
• 2–4 years experience in a Debtors / Accounts Receivable role
• Strong understanding of credit control and debtor management processes
• Experience with reconciliations and ageing analysis
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems (eg. Xero)

Key Performance Areas:

• Manage the full accounts receivable function
• Invoice clients accurately and timeously
• Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts
• Perform debt collection in a professional and firm manner
• Apply interest on overdue accounts where applicable
• Maintain and enforce credit terms and limits
• Prepare and complete payment reconciliations
• Conduct regular ageing analysis and report on debtor status
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Prepare reports on collections and debtor performance
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support retention
• Engage with customers to resolve account queries efficiently
