Description
Our client, a leading supplier of building products based in Bloemfontein, is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Floor Sales Representative to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers on the shop floor, providing expert product advice, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and an interest in the agricultural and building sector.
Minimum requirements
- Matric
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within retail sales, preferably in building supplies
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically able to assist with stock handling and floor merchandising
- Computer literacy, including point-of-sale systems and basic MS Office
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and stock levels
- MUST be willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
Skills required
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Sales and upselling skills to maximize revenue opportunities
- Strong product knowledge or willingness to learn about agricultural and hardware products
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy retail environment
- Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Problem-solving skills to assist customers effectively
