Role Overview
As a Junior Business Development Manager, you will support Icon’s revenue growth by identifying opportunities, developing leads, and assisting with the end-to-end sales process. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who is passionate about IT and cybersecurity, confident with clients, and eager to learn in a high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Generate and qualify leads across SME, mid-market, and enterprise sectors
- Assist with the full sales cycle: prospecting → proposals → demos → closing
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and capability presentations
- Support the delivery of tenders, RFQs, and compliance documents
- Maintain CRM systems and track sales pipeline progress
Client Engagement
- Conduct introductory meetings and requirements gathering sessions
- Build, maintain, and follow up on strong client relationships
- Assist with onboarding new clients and coordinating with internal teams
Market Insights & Strategy
- Conduct market and competitor research
- Identify new growth verticals aligned with Icon’s solutions
- Support vendor and channel partner engagements
- Assist with marketing campaigns and events when required
Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business, ICT, Marketing, or related discipline
- Cybersecurity or IT certifications (advantageous but not essential)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Genuine interest in IT and cybersecurity solutions
- Highly organised with strong follow-up ability
- Confident, proactive, and able to work independently
- CRM experience (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce) is beneficial
- Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
