Technical Sales Engineer

This opportunity exists within an established industrial engineering operation specialising in the repair, restoration, and refurbishment of critical mechanical components. The focus is on extending the lifespan of highâ??value equipment, reducing unplanned downtime, and offering a viable alternative to costly replacement.

The role is best suited to a technically orientated sales professional who is comfortable operating in plant and production environments and engaging with engineering and maintenance stakeholders across sectors such as mining, manufacturing, petrochemical, FMCG, and water.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the industrial and manufacturing sectors
• Sell repair and refurbishment solutions for mechanical and rotating equipment
• Build and maintain strong relationships with maintenance managers, engineers, and plant management
• Recognise equipment failure risks, breakdowns, and maintenance challenges where repair solutions apply
• Compile and present technical proposals and engineered service solutions
• Consistently achieve and exceed assigned sales targets through consultative selling

Scope of Services:

• Repair of shafts and rotating equipment
• Mechanical component refurbishment
• Precision machining services
• Specialised welding and surface restoration solutions

Qualifications & Experience (Minimum Requirements):

• Proven track record in technical or engineering sales
• Background in mechanical, industrial, or maintenance-focused environments
• Solid understanding of industrial equipment, such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, and rotating machinery
• Ability to sell valueâ??driven engineering solutions, rather than standard products
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to client sites
